Management of Medical Emergencies in the Dental Practice

This 5 hour course covers CPR, defibrillation, sudden collapse, chest pain, fitting, anaphylaxis plus other medical emergencies that can occur in a dental practice.

What sets this course above others is that it was designed specifically for dental practices and the most likely conditions that a dentist may encounter from their patients.

It focuses heavily on identified threats and uses crew resource management techniques to prepare the practice for a coordinated team approach in managing medical emergencies.

We come to you and your team, and train them in their own environment, allowing realistic simulations of common emergencies and the provision of advice specific to your practice’s equipment, location and floor plan.

The principles of universal precaution are covered but the focus is on practical hand washing and the use of alcohol hand gels, washing and cleaning of surfaces and validating that these have been effective, by using Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).

Please contact us for a further information and to add infection control to your next medical emergency course.
